The Rosewood Foundation

The Rosewood Foundation, formerly Fire Foundation of Greater Chicago, makes grants to partner schools, providing partial funding for special education resources and staffing. Students with special needs achieve their individual academic objectives while learning alongside their peers. For more information on Inclusive Education within the Archdiocese of Chicago, email info@rosewoodfoundation.org. If you are a parent of a child with special needs or an Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic School Administrator, please refer to our Apply For Grant page for information on funding opportunities.

Our Mission and Vision

Our mission is to provide children with special needs the opportunity for an inclusive education in Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Chicago. We envision our Catholic schools to be a place where every student is valued as a unique child made in the image and likeness of God.

They tried homeschooling and she learned a lot, but it wasn’t the right fit for Katie’s education.

Griffin is a cheerful, young boy who happens to have Downs Syndrome. With a grant from Rosewood Foundation, he is able to attend St. John the Evangelist School in Streamwood.
